The City of Lanett’s Gas Department provides natural gas service to customers in the city limits, as well as the communities of West Shawmut, and Huguley. The gas system has been in operation since 1952 and provides 24-hour service to our customers. The gas system is annually inspected by the Alabama Public Service Commission, and the city has maintained excellent reviews, and is currently conducting pipeline replacement projects to insure the safety of our customers and citizens.
The City of Lanett is a proud member of Alabama 811, a call before you dig service designed to protect customers as well as individuals from damaging buried lines.
