Medical Facilities

Modern and comprehensive healthcare is readily available, including one local hospital and two regional healthcare systems within a half hour.  Lanier Health Services is a private, non-profit facility in neighboring Valley, AL.  It provides comprehensive healthcare locally in a 115-bed acute care hospital facility with outpatient and inpatient services, comprehensive laboratory facilities, and pediatrics.  It also offers women's services including obstetrics and gynecologic care, an intensive care unit, physical therapy and rehabilitation services.  24 hour emergency services and radiological services are available.  In addition, Lanier Health provides a 93-bed nursing home and comprehensive home health care, community education programs and support groups.  The Medical Park is located adjacent to Lanier Health Services and offers over 50 physicians and specialists affiliated with the hospital, as well as Chattahoochee Hospice, BMS Dialysis, and the Chambers County Health Department.

Additional healthcare facilities in the area include Lanett Geriatrics, a 75-bed nursing home facility, LaFayette nursing home facility, a 53-bed resident facility, and 38-unit assisted living facility and Savannah Court, a 16-unit assisted living facility.

The Valley Area is fortunate to have two major regional medical centers within a 30 minute drive - East Alabama Medical center in Opelika offers regional trauma care and advanced cardiac care, and West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange offers extended care facilities and comprehensive cardiac and cancer treatment centers.
