Schools

The Lanett City Schools District includes three schools within the city of Lanett serving over 1,500 students.  Lanett Schools are focusing on learning through a balance of academic programs and extracurricular activities such as Army Junior ROTC, art, music and athletics.  The disrict receives excellent support from the local community through formal partnerships with local businesses, and through parental involvement.  Click here to visit the Lanett City School District website.  Parents enrolling new students should contact the school system for requirements at 334-644-5900.

Central Elementary School believes that "learning is the Central goal" and serves k-5 utilizing direct instructional programs emphasizing reading, specialized math, writing and spelling.   To visit  the website click here.

L.B. Sykes Junior High Schoolserves grades 6-8 and emphasizes innovative technology and integrated science programs for its students.  The Junior High also offers foreign languages.  To visit the website click here.

Lanett High School is focusing on preparing its students for higher education goals or moving directly into the workforce.  The High School serves grades 9-12 offering advanced placement courses in English, Literature and American History.  An innovative mass media program is also available.  The school is partnering with the local business community to provide a specialized Apprectice Program for its students.

Springwood Private School


Springwood School in Lanett offers instruction for grades k4-12.  The school is SACS accredited and
is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Southern Association of Independent Schools, and the Alabama Association of Independent Schools.  Springwood emphasizes technology at all levels and promotes lifelong learning by all students in an environment where integrity, self discipline, and strength of character are fundamental.  The school offers college preparatory curriculum, an honors program, and advanced placement classes.  To visit the Springwood website click here.

Springwood Child Development Center also provides private preschoo
