District 1
Councilwoman Denise Zachery was born & raised in Lanett/West Shawmut Alabama. She is a graduate of Valley High School, Kerr Business School & Meadows College of Business, formerly of Lagrange, GA.
She was employed with West Point Pepperell for 8 years and retired from Huguley Water Sewer & Fire Protection Authority after 37 years as a clerk, asst office manager, asst secretary to board of directors, and bookkeeper. She is married to Greg Zachery and is the mother of a son, Stephen Zachery. She looks forward to working with and for the citizens of District One.

District 2
Krisse Story was born and raised in the West Shawmut community. She is a 1992 graduate of Valley High School. She graduated from Faulkner State Community College in 1994 with an Associate in Science. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (1997) and Master of Science in ECE and Elementary Education from Auburn University-Montgomery (2012). She is currently pursuing a doctorate from Liberty University.
Krisse has been married to Clifford Story, Jr. for 27 years. Together they have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. She worked for Lanett City Schools for 12 years where she was a teacher and volleyball coach. Krisse and her husband have owned and operated The Learning Treasure Preschool in Lanett for the past 20 years. She currently serves as the center director.
She is also a member of the illustrious sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She is an Elder at OH Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Bertha Hodge. She and her husband facilitate BOMB Marriage Ministry.
She is ready to work for District 2 and together with the Mayor and council, create a Lanett that isn’t just seen as a pass through, but as a destination.

District 4
Charles Brandon Bagley serves as Councilman for District 4 in the City of Lanett, where his passion for progress and unity guides his work. A lifelong resident and graduate of Lanett High School, Charles has built his career and public service around strengthening the community that raised him.
Before his election to the City Council, he served as Vice Chairman of the City of Lanett's Planning Commission, helping to shape responsible development and champion initiatives that enhance quality of life for residents. Professionally, Charles is a People & Culture Specialist, known for his ability to cultivate teamwork, inclusion, and leadership within diverse environments.
Being grounded in faith, Charles is a member of Goodsell United Methodist Church, where he serves as Lay Leader. Above all, he values family and purpose; sharing life’s journey with his wife, Kendrika, and their two children, Kameron and Kelsey.

District 5
Being born and raised in Lanett, Alabama, Kim Roberts is able to experience the changes made to allow future growth in this area by being a Council woman for District 5.
She is married to Dennis Roberts, and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. In 1986 she walked into a local business, filling out an application for employment and years later found herself wearing the shoes as the owner and operator, She bought the company!
In 2002 a special needs Student walked into her office and asked her to sign his petition to save the JROTC at Lanett High School. That Student may not have felt he belonged anywhere else, but the JROTC program was his life. Lanett Got behind her and for 1 year they fought to save the program. The JROTC is still active at Lanett High School.
In 2009 She became the Executive Director of the Chattahoochee Fuller Center, serving for 15 years. Together, they built many decent affordable homes in Lanett, West Point, Ga. and Valley, Alabama.
When the tornado struck Beauregard in 2019, Kim was asked by the CEOs of East Alabama Medical Center and Lanier hospital to please go and build homes for the families who lost theirs. They built 20 homes in seven months with local volunteers and neighbors near and far.
Kim lives in a wonderful place and her heart has always been here. Today as she holds the title of Council woman for Lanett, She considers it an honor. She can continue to take part in bettering our community and empowering the growth of others.
