City Council
District 1
Councilman Malone grew up in the rural portion of West Point, Ga (New Harmony Community) and later moved to Lanett, Al. He is a graduate of Troup County High School, LaGrange, Ga. and attended Columbus College in Columbus, Ga. He has been employed with LaGrange Toyota, Inc., for 29 years where he serves as a manager. Malone is a long-life member of the New Harmony Christian Methodist Church in West Point, Ga where he serves on the Steward and Trustee Board. He is a former board member of the Chambers County Industrial Development Authority, a founding board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chambers County, Alabama and past president of the Chambers County Branch of the NAACP. He also led the fight to get the cities of Lanett and Valley, Al. to start observing the federal holiday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Councilman Malone was elected to serve District 1 in August 2016. He previously served on the Lanett City Council for two terms during the administration of Scott Hamil and the late Oscar Crawley. Councilman Malone pledges to represent all the constituents of District 1 and listen to all concerns as well as to work with the mayor and fellow council members to make Lanett the greatest city to live in.

District 2
Councilwoman Autry is serving her first term on the Lanett City Council representing District 2. She is a native to the area and is a graduate of Troy University, Phenix City, Alabama with Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as having attended Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama and Selma University Extension in the work of Biblical Studies.
Autry and her husband the Rev. Leonard Autry Sr. have 2 sons and are doting grandparents. She is an active member of Pilgrim Baptist Church where she serves on the Ministerial staff. Autry is currently a 6th grade Science teacher at W. F. Burns Middle School in Valley, Alabama.

District 3
Councilman Ronnie Tucker, Sr. Is currently serving District 3. He previously worked for the City of Lanett Recreation Department for over twenty years. While in that capacity, he served as Recreation Director. He also, worked for the Lanett Housing Authority as Activity Director. He is a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and serves on the Deacon’s board as assistant secretary. He is married to Michelle Tucker and they have one son, Ronnie Tucker, Jr. (RJ).

District 4
Councilwoman Angelia Thomas is in her second term as a City Council member for District 4. She is the first African American woman to be elected to the City Council in Lanett. She is married to Terrance Thomas, Sr. and they have three grown sons. She is a Realtor and property manager for a local real estate company.

District 5
Councilman Dobbs is currently serving his first term on the Lanett City Council. He previously worked for The City of Lanett in the Police Department. He currently is a Pastor of a local church where he and his wife Daphne serves faithfully. Dobbs is also the owner and operator of a local transportation company.
